Has anybody had a pinched nerve affect their leg? I’ve been to the ER to rule out a DVT and my ultrasound came back negative and they told me it was a pinched nerve. It feels like a cramp in my calf and sometimes my upper thigh and the bottom of my foot and under my buttcheek. It’s never in one spot it always moves and sometimes goes away but comes back. 😕

Pinched Nerve
Yes! I have the same symptoms! My right leg is numb almost every day and the top of my right foot tingles. The problem went away for a while when I was seeing a chiropractor, but now I can’t afford to see him anymore. He’s probably not even open since we are having the pandemic. I also suffer from heart palpitations every day. They are extremely irritating and troubling, but my doctor assures me that my heart is just fine. I’ve had a lot of test done just to make sure. An endocrinologist recently prescribed me a beta blocker for the palpitations. I don’t want to take it. I have a fear of medication! I want to find the cause, not treat the symptoms I noticed in one of your post that you mentioned palpitations. We are very similar symptoms! I really feel for you! I’ve been suffering with this for a long time. I want to go to a functional medicine doctor since traditional in Western medicine doesn’t seem to be doing me any good. I don’t have money for that, either. Insurance doesn’t cover it.
Hang in there! This forum is so helpful! There are so many people writing extremely helpful posts! They keep me sane. I just keep reading their posts over and over and they bring me so much comfort. I encourage you to do the same !
Yikes, we do sound a lot alike. My insurance doesn’t cover much either and I only have it for about two more months and I’m SOL. I too read some posts over and over because sometimes my brain 🧠 doesn’t listen to me but seeing their responses help. Mines my right leg too and it goes numb easily but the pain sends me into anxiety thinking it’s something else. 😳 I’m too afraid of chiropractors but I have noticed that not being able to self pop my back in three months has really made it worse.
It’s amazing how similar we are! My brain doesn’t listen to me, either! I have found a few good books about overcoming anxiety, so I pull those out when I can remember to do it. Diaphragmatic breathing is my best friend! It’s the one thing that can keep me from completely going over the edge with my anxiety. I’m afraid of chiropractors, too. I found one that doesn’t pop my back, though! I’m too old for back popping! Ha ha Mine uses a small device that is hard to describe. It’s electric, and it does some gentle pounding on my vertebrae and puts them back into alignment. It works wonders and doesn’t hurt!
I’m sorry you’re losing your insurance! That’s a scary thing! Let’s keep in touch and encourage each other! I will let you know if I come across any good solutions. 👍
Howdy. Is it possibly that it is caused by anxiety? I get really hunched over when anxious without even realising and cause stress and tension to the muscles in my right side. My pain/tightness also moves around to different spots but in the same side of my body.
Possibly, but mine is more probably caused by my back problems and weight gain from my pregnancy which presses on a nerve. I’m sure my posture surely doesn’t help. Mine is also only on one side.
