Hey!!
So, to me, it just looks their face is a little red and maybe they have some of those bumps. I can’t remember what it’s called but I’ve always had those on the back of my arms.
You’re a proud mama who’s looking after her kids!! It’s good to look for answers and be continuously monitoring your child’s health. Go you! It’s important to keep our anxiety in check while we’re taking care of someone else.
I would say: keep watching it. Is it itchy? (Is your kid rubbing their face more?) Is it spreading? (Down the neck, on both sides of face, on their legs...) It is all the red spots bumpy and blotchy?
To be, not a health care professional, it doesn’t look like something serious. But, you know your kid’s face. You can watch their symptoms. And contact a health care professional if it gets more severe or whenever you need affirmation.
Just to comfort you - my little sister’s face did not look like your picture. All of her skin was textured bumby and flaming red... almost like rogue makeup when that was a thing. It showed up on both of her cheeks. My mom waited a day or two, and then once it was still there she took her to the doctor. And it was an allergic reaction to something (which I predicted). Anyways, she got on medicine and it spread and then took like a month or so to clear up and she’s fine now.
So, it might be an allergic reaction or maybe she was scratching it or... idk. I’m not a doctor and it’s hard for me to be able to guess lol.
Hope you figure it out and that it isn’t anything serious!! You got this.
Hi Nevic84, have it checked out by a dermatologist for your
peace of mind. I've seen flat moles that look like that, not necessarily
dangerous but should be checked. xx
Hi! Are you referring to the brown mark? My daughter gets new freckles/moles all the time. Totally normal for children to get new things like this as their skin is still growing and evolving. Have a talk to your doctor about what to expect of your child's skin and when you need to get spots checked out.
Could be an allergic reaction.
When in doubt, check it out. Your Dr is there for you. Just reach out.
