Hey guys it’s getting really hard for me to tell weather it’s anxiety or something serious. I have a feeling that my throat is closing up every now and then and also have phlegm in there which does not come out! I feel that it hard to swallow my own spit sometimes for a moment I choke on it and get a deep butterfly churning stomach feeling. Any advice?
Thank you

Yes like a lump in the back of your throat. And my stomach last two bays every time I eat starts all kinds noises and little cramping and burning. Then bathroom I have had anxiety a long time and this is miserable. I left post about it but not to many people respond to nothing on her I’m about to just get off here. But you not alone
Dealing with that now. It is most definitely a symptom of my anxiety. It’s just that once I remind and reassure myself that is what it is, it goes away shortly.
Yes for me it goes and comes so when it goes away I start having anxiety about when it’s going to come back. Thank you for clearing that up for me. It’s like an endless cycle
That sounds really scary. I have also had a feeling of my throat closing while I'm having panic attacks. It's awful.
In my research, I've read that it IS a symptom of anxiety. You are not alone!
It helps me to do deep, intentional breathing ~ to prove to myself that my throat is open & I'm not in danger... In slowly thru my nose... out slowly thru my mouth like blowing out candles.
It also sometimes helps to drink something cold, or something hot ~ to "wake up" my throat, & again, to know that it's open.
thank you for replying. I can easy my mind a little knowing it’s just anxiety although it feels so scary at times. And yes I have just been drinking hot water to ease it which makes it feel better.
