Do you suffer from anxiety ?
I actually do
I get the same thing , even if I don’t feel anxious , sometimes we are tensing up our abdominal area without knowing it, even if you feel like you are relaxing your muscles . It creeps up to the chest as well . When I get this , I lay flat , no pillows , and I let my body adjust to its natural position . Give it a try, sometimes the harder the surface the better .
Hi Caronshuler, I noticed you had the same symptoms 2 years ago. It sounds like
something that comes and goes. I agree with Ryan990 in that anxiety can cause
us to tense our muscles without even realizing it. As well as doing that, when nervous
or stressed, we tend to swallow air more often causing that bloating stomach and chest
discomfort.
Sipping on a cup of hot tea can help with the bloating/gas feeling.
When you do lie down, try to allow your body to go limp into the mattress
and just breathe in deeply and exhale long and slow. This will help the muscles
to release and relax. Even if you have irritable bowel syndrome, relaxing is the
way to go. Feel better soon. xx
I would say your having gastritis. If you get a chance get some gas X. A lot of times we tend to gulp a drink or eat to fast and swallow to much air. This will cause a lot of discomfort in the abdomen and chest area. Then add anxiety to the picture and if makes the issues worse.
Best wishes John
In addition to my reply
I was reading your past post , you had a similar situation a year ago. What did you do then to elevate the stomach issues?
Also yes medical marijuana does help with anxiety and panic attacks.
Chest pains are a very common complaint with chest pain it’s from tension. You don’t realize you tensing up and as a result tightness, pain and so on.
Laying in your left side puts less pressure on your stomach and intestines this can help move things along such as any gas that may be trapped. Drink plenty of water and look into trying Benefiber this can help with digestion. You can also try teas for digestion or over the counter medicine for gas.
On your left side not in your left side
