I have been prescribed Paroxetine 10mg by my doctor. Has anyone ever taken this and if so what are your thoughts. Thanks

I had very good luck on paroxetine. It worked perfectly for me for 25 years until it didn't. It was awful to wean off, but I would do it all over again.
Everyone is different, so it may not work for you. Also it takes many weeks to work so give it time.
My answer is exactly the same a LilyAnnepuppy......getting off it after 20 plus years was HARD. Have not found new meds that give me the relief the Paroxetine did.
My honest answer, don't take them, ask for another like Sertraline.
I'm not a Doctor, but I was on them for 25 years and felt really unhinged coming of them, it was traumatic.
There are plenty of horror stories about this drug and a psychiatrist told me he prescribed them in the mid 90s and spent the early 2000s trying to get people off them with "varying success".
Everyone is different of course but Paroxetine is rarely the first drug of choice now days.
Sorry if this frightens you, but be cautious.
Good luck.
