Hey guys. Honestly, I’ve been in a dark place lately. Depression is sucking me into a black hole, and my anxiety has been through the roof. I’ve been worrying about everything and anything. But the one thing I can’t stop being scared about is the fact I’ll be going into labor in 19 weeks and child birth scares me. I’m scared of complications and dying and it’s all my mind can focus on. 🥺

Hi,
congrats on your upcoming baby!! i think maybe focusing on the fact that modern medicine is rly advanced can help you. if you have fears about complications, remind yourself, “oh, so what? the doctors and nurses will know what to do and i’ll be okay.” you won’t die, i promise you. you’ll give birth and you’ll be busy caring for your new baby to even worry about all these things i’ve found that imagining those anxious thoughts as being said by a tiny little fuzzy cartoon character in a high-pitched voice can help. it helps you take it less seriously. also, your thoughts don’t know the future. they are just thoughts! maybe try meditation? i recommend the “dare” app too for anxiety. i use the dare method to help w my anxiety and it’s helped a lot. (the cartoon character idea is from the dare book. theres a book and an app). i hope this helped in some way! you’re going to be fine. congrats again on having a new bundle of joy in your life!!
