My wife experiences the Menthol feeling. Same response with Doctors. I am so glad there are others willing to talk about this. Maybe some doctors should go through this. It will change the landscape on diagnosis expediency.
Menthol all over the body.

Nint2021, oh do I remember that menthol feeling coming over me just before
having a panic attack. I don't think I ever told anyone about that and certainly
not the doctor. Back then the smirk on their face was enough to keep me quiet.
I think things are about to change as more and more people are talking about
mental health issues. I hope so, we really need that understanding.
