I don’t get it. It’s like clock work. As soon as I am getting to bed the panic sets in . I don’t know why. I don’t understand it . I am laying in bed ( not in a sitting up position ) because I am so nervous . Strange this is I feel like my heart is pounding so hard and beating fast but it’s only mid 80’s . I don’t get that. It feels like it’s beating so fast but it’s not . Anyone else feel that way ??? Is it palpation’s??? The palpations I am used to getting are the thumps and flutters like skipping a beat .

The night time dread
Well for the first part I have it in reverse, mornings set me off. It's been like this so long I just associate waking up with anxiety now which is probably what's happened with you at night. Id hazard a guess you kind of dread the going to bed part of the night which kind of exacerbates that as well. I did use to have the same problem but found reading took my mind off it. If you're a reader give it a go and if not im sure there's plenty of other methods that could help ya cope, just have to find what works for you. As for the heartbeat, well you said you're panicked so that's an easy one wouldn't worry at all. I had some anxiety based around my heart and the more I thought about it the more I was conscious of every single thing it did, drove me absolutely nuts! Sorry I don't have any solution for you but what I will say is that what you're feeling is textbook anxiety symptoms so you're not alone. Maybe breathing excercises might help? Anyway, just think about what you're going to do tomorrow and plans etc. or something and visualise your whole day and see if it helps ya nod off, take it easy.
Thank you for your reply !!! Yes I am same way in the morning to ... the mornings and nights are just awful for me . Constant state of doom and dread !!! I have been trying to calm myself . Doing games on my phone. Throwing a cold washcloth over back of neck . Breathing mediation .... it’s just there and won’t leave I can’t take a Xanax ... I. It’s started a beta blocker this week and don’t want to take a Xanax right on top of it. Too nervous
I get especially anxious in the evenings as well. I don’t know what it is about it but the sun going down and it getting dark...sets it in. You’re not alone! It helps when my fiancé falls asleep for a while then he will get up and play his video game for a while because he can’t sleep, so it helps when he’s up. But I totally get what you’re feeling!
Yes I can totally relate !! The sun going down is the worst . When it gets dark it’s like something sets in and makes me so incredible MORE anxious . The mornings as well. It’s so dark when I get up. I just wait and wait for the sun to come out !!!! It just all around sucks so bad. I honestly hate this constant fear of “ am I having a heart attack “!!! “ or is this just a really bad panic attack “!!! I have been to the ER so many times with this crap
I’m sorry that you are still uncomfortable at night. Have you been prescribed anything to help you rest? It can be a vicious cycle but it can be broken and you can reset after a night or two of uninterrupted sleep. I know you will have more confidence to tackle your anxiety if you have respite from your fears❤️
Yes I have that all the time just laying down sometimes I can feel my hart pounding so hard but it’s never fast just feels like that. I want to er last night my chest was hurting and they checked everything ekg blood test X-ray everything was just fine they said it was anxiety and I can feel bad for days weeks it sucks
I feel the same exact way! My anxiety goes off the chart when it's evening/night, and it's worse when I'm about to go to bed. I'm lying down in the dark and I start tossing/turning..and I'm so freaking exhausted because I can't sleep. I've resorted to taking melatonin, but it doesn'r help much at all
