Weird chest pain sensation
Having panic attacks keep us in an " on alert state" We spend our time waiting for the next one. As time goes by and we don't have a repeat attack things should settle a bit.
We have to learn to control that anxiety so it doesn't escalate into full panic. Music, meditation, exercise, eating healthy.. etc are some things we can do to help ourselves. Self reassurance that we are ok during our times of anxiety. Talk to yourself, remind yourself that this will pass, that you have control of the feelings.
I understand James how physical symptoms can put us on alert and
"bam" we're in anxiety mode. It sounds like what you had was a momentary
chest wall pain. As fast as it came, it was gone. Unfortunately the panic and
fear stayed around for a while. Once we learn to accept twinges of pain
that may happen from time to time, our body won't respond with such
intensity. I'd be the first to agree that anxiety is difficult to deal with.
I know I've said this before, but once you can get past the symptoms
without reacting in fear, anxiety will become a thing of the past. xx
