I stopped taking Paxil (i have been on Paxil for 7-8 months, 4 months of 40mg) 2 weeks ago roughly. after the first week of being off i started taking a CBD capsule (25mg) every morning at 10 am. i like to stay constant. I refuse to ever be medicated again on an SSRI (my first was prozac which made things worse for a few months then Paxil which kind of helped but made things worse in other areas and i just didn't feel like myself). I'm not sure how long it will take for Paxil to fully leave my system and the side effects to fully go away. i have not noticed any changes yet that i can tell by taking the CBD. i did read it can take up to 6 weeks to kick in for anxiety symptom purposes. I feel like i'm more active though thats all i can tell. im still in both the early stages of being off meds and trying a new supplement CBD. will continue taking it and I will give it 2 months which i believe is fair and see what happens. I deal with vision issues related to anxiety that never go away also fogginess so im hoping CBD can help this being that it may be my nervous system all out of whack and i need to get my head and thoughts clear and not be so negative. we are all different and different things works for us that may not work for others so im not trying to get anyone off meds and onto CBD, the meds just don't work for me.

I think SSRI’s take a very small amount of time to leave your system given they have short half lives. But I’m not too sure.

You’ll have to keep us updated on how the CBD oil works! It effects serotonin just like an SSRI would but it effects the receptors, not the reuptake process. So I’m very curious to see how it will compare to the SSRI’s you’ve used. Best of luck! I really hope it works out for you.

What works for others may not work for some. It’s trial and error but I’m glad it’s working for you!
