Sinking.: How do I carry on these sinking... - Anxiety Support
Sinking.
That sinking feeling is so weird 😂 it’s actually normal I get it every time. Just try to relax your body with a hot bath or something
It's horrible I panic loads my heart never stops lol x
I also get that stoned feeling out of nowhere. It gets even worse when I’m walking or around people
you can do it she who has faith shall succeed we all believe in each other that thing can get better.are you recently on new meds maybe making you feel in a stoned like state or I it lack of sleep maybe.
Yeah, that sinking feeling is all too familiar. I just had to ride it out. Not much I could do. The body and mind are over sensitized. The time on the clock is not the time we are living by. It's a really tough stretch. I know you can get through it
What were your symptoms of this sinking feeling ? I have it and I get light headed.
Yeah lightheadedness, like I was in a dream and I couldn’t do anything about it. Is it getting better?
How long? And what did you do to make it better?
I was dealing with depression, anxiety, and agoraphobia among other things and that took me several months to go through. I think it was a combination of things that helped me. The first of which is time. Time to let things work themselves out and find a balance. Medication played a part. Exercise helped a lot. It could be as simple as going outside and taking a walk. Telling yourself "so what?" So what if I go there and have a panic attack? It's not gonna kill me. And paying attention to the breathing
I'm not sure if you're currently dealing with the same struggles, but these are what helped me and what I put into my practice day to day. Let me know if these help 👍
I was dealing with a bit but not much. I have never had anxiety before : did meds help with the dizziness light headed sinking feeling?
Yeah it helps, but it doesn't do so immediately. But I always like to think that the whole body needs to adjust, and not just the brain itself
Was your meds anxiety meds? What meds?
I first took citalopram, them cymbalta for many years and now I’m on Trintellex
Do you think they are working better then the others?
Don’t remember if I mentioned before but I’m on sertraline.
Yeah I've been on Trintellex for about 2 years now and I think it's helpful for me. I've never been on sertraline. When I was on Cymbalta for all those years, I had these terrible heart palpitations that would just come about randomly. I don't anymore since switching. I hope you find the right ones for you
Just another symptom of stress and feeling depleted. No matter how uncomfortable - they are not serious at all. Accept them for what they are -just your nervous system reacting to pressure you are under. They will pass at some point. And know that you are not alone.
Ano but even trying to sit is hard when these feelings come a want to wrap presents and my eyes can't focus things seem miles away. Or so little etc x
