Yep!! I do.

I’m on the same dose as you but only about 4 months in this time (I was on them a few years ago but can’t remember If I had any side effects)

Lately I’ve been waking up literally dripping with sweat. At first I thought it was my new 15tog quilt (why I brought this is beyond me.. it’s like a sauna under there) BUT I’ve took to sleeping in my underwear with just a sheet instead of my quilt and it’s still happening. Only started when my dose was increased from 50mg to 100mg.

I have a friend who had the same symptoms also on the same dose.

Try not to feel embarrassed by it. I can totally understand why you do but it’s something that’s not in our control. If YOU feel (beside that particular side effect) that the dose is right for you and helping you to cope daily then I wouldn’t advise u reduce your dose if it could compromise your mental well-being.

Try maybe getting a fan near to your bed to help keep you cool or wear lighter/cooling nightwear if you feel uncomfortable just sleeping in underwear.

Of course I don’t know your personal circumstances but if you have a partner then maybe you could discuss changing to lighter bedding and explain how your struggling to cope with the night sweats.

If not and you live alone.. strip and let your body breath! 💪🏽😁 Lol

Failing this speak to your GP ...maybe it’s not the right medicine for you anymore OR perhaps it could be a cause of something else very simple that you hadn’t considered.

I don’t know a solution but I do understand and can relate to your suffering.

Good luck and I hope you find a solution that suits you.

A fellow night sweater ☺️ Xx

I’m on the same dose and have no problems. Maybe you should try a lighter blanket or just a sheet.

Oh my. Menopause starting? Only thing I can think of. Maybe sleep with a fan on. I wouldn’t stop the medicine since it seems to work. Myself I’d figure something out.

Good Luck!!

I am on 150 mgs of sertraline and never had this problem. I was wondering how old you are and whether this could be the start of the menopause? x

Bemyself, I was never on Setraline and yet during my worst times with anxiety

I would break into a sweat on and off (mostly on) Severe anxiety plays with

our internal thermostat causing some to sweat and others to get the chills.

Always be careful and stay safe when reducing dosage on any medication.

It may help reduce the sweating incidences but cause you side effects. Your

doctor really should be advised as to what you are doing so you don't get into

trouble. Please keep us updated. :) xx
