Every anti depressant has many different chemicals in it .. The lower the mg the better the tablet i have always found .Plus the higher the mg the less likely it is that the tablet will make you sleepy

You are definitely right there as I'm on 100mg and am forever having problems with trying to get to sleep and stay asleep. Also don't take it at night as when I first started I couldn't sleep at all wen I was taking it at night in the morning is best. Xx

Every anti depressant is different they all come in different doses but that is the smallest dose it comes in. They all effect people in very different ways. I hope you are ok is this helping? Xx

I've just got it today as I have bad anxiety and panic attacks. I refused to take it last time because of the bad reviews it has. My doc is useless looks at me like he doesn't care but there not the ones suffering. Nobody seems to care if ur depressed it really does take over your life

I'm not going to take it. I would rather suffer

I used to on 100mg of sertraline and it was fine but didn't do much. Then the doctor raised it to 150 mg and I feel a lot better. Been on it for about 5 years now. I wouldn't rather suffer!

Sertraline has a lot less side effects than the other ssri's

I personally don't take sertraline, but my two sisters do,my sister was in a constant state of anxiety, she was started on 50mg,and is a changed person, happier, more relaxed, and no more panic, she is six months on them now,my other sister was started on 25mg,her dr told her to break 50mg in half,so far she hasan't increased the dose, because the 25mg is working for her, neither of them had any side effects, and can sleep great at night ,one takes it in the morning, and the other at night, you might not have any side effects,I know some reports are scary, but just think,if you took them, and you had no side effects, and they worked for you,how life would be so wonderful..love Miarose xxx

Tablets alone are not always the answer. Try asking for other therapy aswell such as CBT or hypnotherpy or counselling and also try meditation (meditation and relaxation tapes are not difficult to get hold of) and reading about how to overcome anxiety and depression, such as "Feel The Fear and Do It Anyway" by Susan Jeffers, which has been a global success. Alternatives to tablets can be a real help.
