Scared and confused.

So I’m having another panic attack. I’ve noticed I have bump on the back of my head/base of my skull on the left side. I feel like I may have noticed it before but I’m not sure and it feels pretty big. It’s really hard, like a bone. Scared of a tumor or skull base tumor. I am so scared! Can a bump on your head be a tumor? I’m so scared as a stupidly googled and read it could be a “skull base tumor” but I don’t know 😞

You should have your Dr check it out. It may be a cyst, I know it’s distressing to find a bump or lump anywhere on your body. Dr Google will make you think the worse but your Dr would be the best to put your mind to rest.

Frenchie, I agree with Ironj in that you should always have a doctor look at

something new or something that keeps coming back.

However, let me tell you that I use to get these hard lumps exactly where

you have on the base of my skull. These were spasms/trigger points that came

from my anxiety and stress. They were literally knots in the muscle. Physical

therapy was able to release those spasms. As they would come back because

of my chronic anxiety, I was taught how to release them through heat and massage.

Always have it checked out but also know that it isn't always a catastrophic issue but

may go back to it being your anxiety. Good Luck. Keep us updated xx
