Can anxiety really make me feel dizzy ALL the time? Is that really possible? Some days, I can accept it. But most, despite what my doctor and therapist say, I find myself unable to believe that anxiety can cause me to feel lightheaded and off balance virtually every waking minute. Other than the occasional palpitation, this is the only major symptom I am experiencing. But I feel like it is driving me absolutely insane. The only relief I get is when I take a Xanax, which I try to do sparingly. And then, within a half hour or so, I am totally and completely myself again. I try to reassure myself that "if the Xanax cures the dizziness, it's not cancer or a brain tumor." But then the medicine wears off, and it's back to dizzy again. I've tried SSRIs, therapy, meditation, yoga, pretty much everything. But when the dizziness hits, it immediately makes me think I am dying of something awful. Sorry for the rant, it's just been a hard week.

Help me believe this can all be anxiety
Hi, I’m currently experiencing something similar and it is too driving me crazy!!
I really hope it eases for you, try and take reassurance from the fact theta there’s nothing more sinister going on xx
It's easier for me to accept when I feel many symptoms at once, actually. Then I can reason my way into understanding I am having a panicked reaction. But for the last year or so, it has JUST been the dizziness. And this week, it spiked up to the point I thought I would pass out a few times. It's awful.
You are not alone, I am dizzy all the time, off balance and feeling faint. Just got back from the supermarket and really thought I would pass out there. It's truly awful and no way to live. Like you. I wish I could find answers but I am told its severe anxiety.
Oh my gosh it’s like I’ve met my anxiety twin! Have a look at my page if you get the chance..you are NOT alone x
I have dizziness often along with other symptoms. I did an MRI and lumbar puncture and both came back normal so I was diagnosed with functional neurological disorder. Your brain is like a computer where the hardware is fine but the software is glitching. Some doctors think it’s caused by stress but they really don’t know. That’s what doctors do, if they don’t know what it is and if they don’t see the answer in a medical test then they blame stress. Go see a neurologist.
The textbook symtoms are still being updated all the time. The patient is the data. Everyone feels anxiety in their own ways. After 35 years it's best to get on living and stay away from WebMD and Google. Ongoing Anxiety like you have and I have will cause dizziness sometimes. Normally most people feel chest pains and knotted stomachs. Then that's where the Google heart attack and brain tumors come in. You're not dying. If the Xanax stops this, most likely it's doing its job. Xanax slows down the movement of brain chemicals that may have become unbalanced, resulting in a reduction in nervous tension and anxiety. Xanax works by boosting the effects of a natural chemical made in the brain called gamma-aminobutyric acid. So your tumor is unbalanced chemicals and very common. IMO
