So I was watching a vet program the other night where a deer was almost near dying because it was stressed too much. It completely triggered me and made me even more afraid of having a heart attack, that I had to take my meds in the middle of the night after waking up panicking. Now I'm wandering around fearing the end is near. Is it just a trigger and will I be able to calm down? What's the best way to calm down from this? Thanks

Help, I'm in major panic mode
Not doing anything. Let the anxiety run it's course. Observe your thoughts...let them be...and then let them go. It doesn't do much good to hang onto them and worry about what might happen. The mind is so powerful that it can make you believe just about anything, even something that couldn't be further from the truth. Take a few deep breaths and try to pay attention to those periods of time, however fleeting they may be, when you feel more at ease, and note how you feel. You'll get through this
Sorry that this was such a strong trigger for you. Hope you have gotten through it now! What do you find generally works for you when you feel the panic coming on? Are you generally able to use breathing or focus strategies to break the panic?
Hey there, Its horrible- truly horrible! I have so many issues but one of them is my anxiety/ panic/ terror. I constantly worry about my heart but also if i see something in tv like someone holding their breath under water , someone choking, having a heart attack etc I start to almost get the symptoms. I’m not a great advisor but the things you are scared over won’t kill you. This is a weak post but its just to let you know you are not alone x
