Prozac

So I tried 10mg prozac for the last 3 days and felt absolutely terrible. Has anyone else tried meds and not done well, and then finally found one with side effects you could handle? I thought my head was going to explode the pain was so bad. It would have been impossible to go to work and try to function like that another day.

I was given beta blockers at first but I ended up in more of a panic state. I then started an ssri alongside diazepam but nausea was ridiculous and I was very poorly for ages. I was then prescribed quetiapine in a low dose and I’ve been on it for around 3 weeks nearly and OMG it’s been amazing. Hardly any anxiety issues at all compared to 5 weeks of 24/7 anxiety

I have actually been able to live my life again. Zero side effects other than being hungry more but I can live with that! Xx

I have stopped taking prozac after taking it for over a decade. I tried a number of alternatives during the time, but for me prozac worked. The side effects took a while to deal with, but it was a case of the benefit outweighing them. I'd suggest speaking with your doctor as soon as possible and discussing the side effects and possible alternatives. Good luck

Yes same with me when i was on zoloft i was in the mental hospital they gave it to me it worked wonders until i got out of the hospital i started to get really shaky so i panicked and stoped taking them i didnt tell my doctor i went cold turkey that was bad i had bad after effects. So now i dont know what medcine to try Maybe i should asked my doctor to lower the medicine maybe that would of helped but was to ashamed to ask cause i stoped taking my medicine without telling my doctor.
