I recently have emerged from a bout of severe crippling anxiety that lasted two weeks which resulted in an increase of Sertraline from 50mg to 100mg. I suffer from depression, anxiety and panic/anxiety attacks.
I have felt beyond exhausted now that it's slowed down a bit, as if my muscles are relaxing and my body now needs a rest. The soreness of my shoulders and neck are ridiculous and I feel so spaced out, as if it was all a dream. I could sleep for a lot longer than I currently am but I'm pushing against it. I'm wondering that as I now have time off work if I should just listen to my body and sleep?
How do you guys feel after an intense period of anxiety has eased off?

Sounds like we are twinnies! I suffer the exact same. Once I have had a panic attack I get so exhausted I need to sleep for days and then often get depression which last for a few weeks, months until it subsides. I have tried diagnosing myself with my mental health over the years but am still unsure really what it is or are if I have more than one thing. I hate panic attacks and would not wish one on my worst enemy.
I'm in 100mg Sertraline and gave had a great year or more on this but just these last three days had some similar symptoms as before when I have had an attack.
It can take me a long time to recover to 100%. I am considering going to my g.p this week to discuss my dose and see if I need an increase or another medicine in the mix to help reduce symptoms. Hope this helps....
