So all day I have been feeling like my heart is about to beat fast, but doesn't. I was scared I would get this same feeling when I am about to sleep. Well right now as I am about to sleep I start feeling it. I feel my heart speeding up as I'm about to fall into a deep sleep. I don't know if I set myself up for this all day today because I was kind of scared that this exact feeling was going to happen when I tried to sleep. This happened to me two days ago. Yesterday I was able to sleep fine because I was just so tired from the night prior. It's only when I am about to fall asleep, I start feeling my heart pounding. I don't know what to do. I don't want to do this again. I completely fell asleep around 3:30am last time. I just want to sleep without having to feel this way.

It's happening again
Does it feel like it’s in your throat. I get a feeling like it’s about to skip a beat or go out of rhythm but I feel like weird in my throat (can’t physically feel the heartbeat in my throat) just a weird sensation and it drives me nuts!
Your thoughts/anxiety is what is making it speed up before sleep because you’re so anxious about it happening.
When you feel it happening take nice slow deep breaths and tell yourself you are ok.
Yes, that is exactly what happens! I think of it too much and then when it happens I don't know how to stop the feeling. I do sometimes feel like if my throat was closing and if I touch my throat I would disturb my breathing. These couple of days I have been feeling super anxious everytime I am about to sleep, for that reason I feel like I am going to get a panic attack during the day. I am going to have to try anything now to calm myself, I hardly ever talk to myself in these type of situations because I panic. I really need to start. Anyways, thank you for your response and I hope all is well for you.
