I understand your fear. I hate having to rely on chemical help. I feel like I “should” be able to fix myself, but I couldn’t do it. The struggle with my depression and anxiety became so bad, I became willing to follow doctors’ orders. It’s been a long haul but am feeling very good and happy I let the professionals do their thing. That’s not to say they’re aren’t people on this site who have used other treatment modalities, but mine’s working for me. You are free to follow your own path. Just keep posting and letting us know how you’re doing. Lynne
Hi... I started on 50mg sertraline a few months back. I felt strange for the first week, sometimes a bit like an out of body experience! I also found my sleep lighter at first. These symptoms disappeared over time and I felt that these side effects were well worth the benefits in my mood and outlook!
I’m starting to feel nauseous second day around keep reassuring myself it’s just my body getting used to the meds
Yeah it’s strange how everyone reacts differently, I never felt nauseous at all! Stick with it.
It helped but just made me gain a ton of weight.
I have been on sertraline almost 7 yrs now started out 25mg then 50mg increase to 75mg after my PTSD kicked in so will stop at 75mg no more increase talk is the best med ever I will take this med because I had anorexia 40 years and treatment now upcoming 7 yrs it helps with obsessing about food and PTSD u will need to take it for while side effects usually get better I does great for me we all r different drowsy was bad at first got past that
