Hi all, just wondering if anyone has experience with this. I’ve been weaning, very slowly off citalopram ive been alternating 10mg and 5mg daily. Lately my mouth is so dry, the tip of my tongue is tingly/burning. It is driving me insane. Also have metallic taste in my mouth. Talked to doc about it, she said that’s fairly common when weaning off ADs. Have anyone else experienced this?? It makes me anxious which then makes me focus on it more I think.

Weaning off any drug has some side effects, I was not good about how I took it and just did not want to be on it, I’m not saying that’s the right thing to do, however focusing your mind on something good for you rather than the negative is a plus . I started doing hot yoga and clean eating , and trying to put my focus in so thing that’s healthy , I like the group class and making healthy dishes , going on walks , and places that are soothing like walking along water , I live near Cleveland so I drive by the rock n roll hall of fame which is on the lake and go for a walk along there. Try anything that gets your mind I. It’s happy place as long as it’s safe and healthy and your mind snd body will live you for it. God Bless
