I’m freaking myself out because I woke a little hyper aware and felt my heart beating faster and ofcourse I keep focusing on it and freaking out, I feel like this happens all the time, but the last few days it hasn’t and today it took me by surprise, does anyone else have anxiety or panic symptoms literally before you even leave your bed as soon as you get up? :/

Anyone else literally wake up with panic/anxiety?
Yes it happens to me frequently, I dread it which probably doesn't help.
I used to wake up like this everyday, then it stopped I think after I started taking propranolol, but maybe 6 weeks later so I don’t know if it was that but worth a thought If you’re not on them x
I also listen to sleep music, ambient dreams play list if you’ve got an Alexa, that could have been one of the things that helped stop mine. Less anxiety in bed because I’m busy listening to that then I nod off x
Yes
I wake between 430 and 530 every day with anxiety.
I have to get out of hed, laying there makes me worse.
I went for a drive at 530. That is my go to when I'm very anxious.
The distraction of driving helps my anxiety.
Sometimes I'm able to go back to sleep for a couple hours.
Hi,
once your body is overly stressed you can wake up with anxiety. I find if I am anxious soon comes the heart pounding sensations. I do take ( as others said) beta-blockers propranolol. 20mg once needed helps to slow my heart rate therefore anxiety lessens too.

My nightmare woke me up. A overflowing river was undermining my bedroom.
I had actually fallen asleep in the living room. Maybe this is a clue why I sleep better in the living room. I might get completely washed away in my bedroom I unconsciously fear. So far any heart irregularity has been manageable perhaps because I’ve awoken up & over time (years) have become so tired it is hard to feel much else.
