Diazepam and alcohol? Quick responses pls!!💕

The last two nights I have taken 1 x 5mg diazepam before iv slept. It has been around 17/18 hours since then. Would I be safe to drink alcohol? As I am due to go out with a friend tonight and would like to enjoy myself?

hi have you just taking them just wondered.just be careful these can linger so best to drink slower maybe even have a non alcohol drink as well and don't forget to eat a decent meal beforehand.

I have taken them before but not in a while, the past 2 nights just to relax myself. I’m just wanting to know that it wouldn’t be fatal, the last dose was 18 hours ago x

I doubt it would be but just be mindful and careful don't always need to much to enjoy a good night and hopefully that's what you have.

Don't you read your labels? I'm sure it says on there "Don't drink alcohol with the Medication". People die from mixing the 2.

No it’s not good to drink alcohol with this medication...

I occasionally take these and my gp has mentioned it each time...

Short answer

I stopped all alcohol when I started meds.

I felt like my organs were probably being stressed enough with meds I needed. So, why take something optional into my body.
