I did a little gardening today and my hip and knee hurt so much. It is an ache in the groin also right hand side (right leg) of hip higher than the groin. I find lately that even trying to sit down that I have to spread my left leg out so that when sitting or bending is a nightmare.
I am 77 now and wonder if anyone else is like this and how to cope with it?

Hi Hands_1, you seem to be having a lot of pain from the gardening you did. That in itself
can happen at any age, the cause being deconditioned. Even young people today who sit
at the computer and don't get to stretch their legs would have the same issue as you.
However, looking over your posts from 3 years ago, I see that you do have RA, Fibromyalgia and Arthritis. Those are conditions that would cause more pain when exerting yourself. I would give it a day or two to recover from your gardening and if
not better by all means see your doctor. For today, I would take it easy. I personally
would meditate and deep breathe to a Pain Meditation. *found on YouTube. Believe
