Bit of a Strange question

When you’re really anxious and feeling that ‘fear’ and can’t relax, can the pupils of your eyes dilate and stay like it for a while until you’ve calmed down? Mine did it yesterday when I was quite anxious about how I felt, they were ok first thing this morning, then after I came home from the shops feeling anxious they’re like it again, I’ve also got a tension headache, probably from tiredness. Can Anyone relate? I can’t seem to calm down at the moment was really cold a short while ago and now I’ve had to take my sweatshirt off.

Whatever it is I don’t like it, and my head is so tensed up. I haven’t enjoyed my food today either.

It's part of fight or flight response. Adrenaline prepares the body for action, so heart rate goes up to pump more blood through muscles. Breathing increases to bring more oxygen to the blood. Every sense is heightened, including sight, that's why pupils dilate.

Have you ever seen a really scared animal? Their pupils get huge. We're the same way. It's part of the anxiety response.

Have you ever thought of buying a magnesium oil from Holland and Barrett ? Every time I get anxiety a quick spray on my forearm and rub in for 10 secs calms me down in 5 minutes. It's the best natural sedative there is. Maybe you should get some and try it when you next experience something like this.

Yes, dilated pupils are a part of the fight or flight response. And when they are dilated more light gets in. It gives me sore eyes and a headache.
