Hi everyone I’m just curious should I be concerned about my high temperature. It’s at a 101.7 and that’s pretty high. I had terrible anxiety episode all day yesterday, it has calm down tremendously and now I am sick.

Can you get a fever after a horrible day of anxiety?
Hi Mell426, I wouldn't think that your temperature has anything to do
with the high anxiety you had yesterday. It may be a coincidence that you
are coming down with a cold. Do you have any symptoms such as a sore
throat? Just keep an eye on your temp and address it accordingly.
Feel better. xx
Also have you ever just all of a sudden had head tension like a squeeze in one side of your head and felt like u was having trouble breathing when it happens
Mell, In all the years that I've dealt with anxiety, I have had just about every symptom
possible and more. I have never allowed myself to go to the worse case scenario.
Head tension like a squeeze or tightening comes from the muscles in the head and/or
neck. Once that happens we may tend to tighten up even more which causes the
adrenaline rush preparing you for the fight or flight response. Except there is no danger. Because we don't see it as that, we start to breathe rapidly or shallow causing
the diaphragm to tighten and making us feel as if we can't breathe.
Actually has nothing to do with the lungs or heart. One symptom does not hinge on the other. It all comes from our mind and once we believe something is wrong, it
shows as physical symptoms. But you are okay. xx
Yea I had a sore throat yesterday before the symptoms even started! Maybe it is a coincidence. Thank you
Hi Mell,
I haven't had a high temperature, after a bad day, but I have had symptoms that felt like the flu, and I have also had what felt like a sore throat, but that seemed to be from tension in my neck area.
Also I think sometimes you can get suck after a bad time, when you are coping with a situation sometimes you tense up and carry on. When that bad time is over you can let go relax. I have found that in that latter time yo can be vulnerable hto picking up bugs and things.
With a temperature sounds like you may have done just that. Keep an eye on it and if you feel worse see your doctor.
I wish you well xx
