I’m glad that has helped you most of the time it also helps with mine As well and I know it may seem weird but I put my hand on my chest and feel my heartbeat slowing to normal and that helps me as well kinda like making sure I’m ok because the only way to describe my anxiety attacks is like I’m having a legit heart attack congrats for calming yourself down!!

Good to know it helped u too. I also do the same to my chest while saying relax youre ok. Its never easr especially my chest pain or tightness is associated with back pain and tingling arm & leg. Have you tried counseling already? Did it help u?

Yea I did many years ago and now I’m back again but more for my depression now I take an antidepressant that works for anxiety but isn’t working for my depression anymore and wow I seriously thought I was the only person that did that with my hand on my chest

Counseling has helped me tremendously I’ve always wondered what natural ways there were to help with anxiety but never tried

Good to know counseling helped u a lot. Looking forward to do it soon. Natural ways such as massage, go for outdoor walk, enough sleep, self control, having someone to talk with where i can freely share my symptoms and meditation/prayer while doing deep breathing

There are some YouTube videos by Dr Harry Barry explaining how to stop a panic attack. It is basically doing the opposite of what I had been trying to do by trying to fight it. He also explains the bits of the brain that cause the attacks which I found really helpful. I am really managing to bring down the length of time they last by following what he says. I’ve bought one of his books as well now which will hopefully help more. Wishing you lots very of luck with getting better.

Thank you jaylou good to know it has helped you. I will try to search and watch the video.

Wish u the same
