Memory issues

Anyone on an ssri and have an awful memory? Feeling very forgetful. Like things that happen are foggy. I’m currently on 25mg of Sertraline. I’ve been on them for about 7 or 8 weeks.

Me too, I am on Sertraline, have been on it for 7 months, and it does get better. I seem to be worse though when I am having a real panicky day.

Hi Teggyherms, I feel your concern, though it is a very low dose it will settle down, its like brain fog, I'm up to 100mg now and have been on antidepressants for et least 25yrs, so I wouldn't worry too much sweetheart, I'm just losing bits of my memory at the moment, age related lol x well good luck

Hello, I have been on Sertraline longer than I can remember at the same dose. It does get easier but I would prefer not to take anything but over the 45 years I have suffered from Depression and Anxiety I have never quite managed it. I should be able to now I am retired. Stick with it, if after 3 months you still feel it is not helping too much see your doctor and discuss it. The trouble with Anxiety it never really goes away but you can find ways to help control it. I find I am always better outside walking my dogs, it is finding what suits you and helps you the best. Hopefully I have been of some help.
