Currently on my 3rd day of taking Citalopram and since I’ve had nothing but issues. Constantly feeling ill, horrendous heartburn, insomnia, anxiety ten times worse than before! Did anyone else experience this? If so how long for? Should I go and see my gp?

Hi Khloe. I have been on and off citalopram several times. I remember it was always a bit difficult in the beginning. It felt like my anxiety just got worse. And then around day 9, I slowly started feeling better. Your days to feeling better may be longer or shorter but it always made things worse at first. Keeping a journal of how I felt helped a bit. Hope this helps.
Hi. I'm also on citralopram and believe me it took 2 weeksto stop feeling crappie then good days and bad days. Bit of a rollar coaster at first. But then I started to feel better. I've just had my dose put up to 20 as I was still feeling too low. I'm now wondering how long before that kicks in. But hang in there. My sleep was awful at first. Dry mouth feeling even lower. All sorts of things. But suddenly it just seems to go. Good luck
Hi- I was on citalopram for about 3 weeks had same awful side effects and had to come off it just couldn't go on - that was in February this year for anxiety - I had some accupunture and Reikki healing which I was not sure would help but I found both did reduce my stress and sleep is better. I had bad insomnia and stress but just trying to manage with no meds
