It's like the world is melting all around me and I'm about to fall into space or into the sky. It feels like nothing is tethered to anything and I and everything else am just free falling through the universe. It's the weirdest and scariest feeling I have ever felt. I went to the hospital last night and they took my blood and discharged me. Medication is not helping this feeling at all, even xanax. As I'm typing this I feel like the room I'm in is spinning around in space and there is absolutely nothing concrete about it. This is an absolutely unbearable feeling. I want to go to the hospital again but I am too scared to go outside because of how hellish everything looks.

I can't bear this new feeling
wow..and your still keeping it together..by what i here, it may be the medication..does it come and go or are you constantly with this feeling..
Im trying to lol. Im trying to come off the medication as it seems to be making me more anxious. It was on and off for a while but for the past two days its been constant.
I used to get periods of floaty feeling and like the world was rocking back and forth. The feelings you describe were what occurred during my panic attacks, but they didn't last too long (a few minutes). The floaty/rocking feeling happened every time I went outside, and sometimes it helped for me to repeat over and over in my head "you're solid, you're stable" or if outside on a hot day I would buy a 1 litre bottle of cold water and hold it my arms - it seemed to soothe me and anchor me down. Carrying groceries in each hand worked incredibly well too. Give yourself some time to just go with it and not react fearfully to your feelings - the fearful reaction will likely perpetuate the uncomfortable feelings. Try to tell yourself you're ok and that it will pass with time. Kind of like when we're drunk we don't react fearfully to the weird feelings cause we know they'll go away eventually. Give it an honest go and if you still feel like this after a few days, pay another visit to ER. You should try meditating too...there are tons of YouTube meditation videos for anxiety. The short "Breathe" clip by Ryan Taylor can help get your breathing in check. Altered breathing can make you feel spacey and floaty.
I get this a lot sometimes. They say if you don’t think about it it’ll get better quicker. It’s basicslly like an automatic coping mechanism for your brain when it’s on overload
