Situational anxiety and or depression

I’m one of those people that I need answers to everything and it kind of drives me nuts. Since about a week ago, I made Easter dinner and ive been feeling kinda down. My hours at work have been getting messed with and I think knowing I have to get another job if my hours are down might have been part of it. I’ve been in the position where my car was shut off, I had nothing. I was so down and depressed. I’m so scared of getting back to that spot again. I take care of my mom and her expenses too since she isn’t working and lives with me and can’t get a job she’s applied everywhere and it’s like something triggered me. Idk idk what my problem is. I just feel like things in life need to change. Like I lost my spark temporarily if that makes sense. What do you think I can do to relax and clear my mind? I know things will get better but it’s hard to not feel that negative cloud over me . Kinda like built up frustration like I want to cry

Also late paying rent this month since this happened.

Hi! Sometimes anxiety adds up slowly and hits us like a ton of bricks. What your describing is so common. You’re doing the right thing by trying to tackle it now so it doesn’t get worse. Good news is that even if it does, it’s curable even then :)

Talk therapy will probably help you. Sounds like you do a lot for others and don’t have enough support for yourself. I see a psychotherapist and it helps me. I also use Pacifica to meditate. Progressive muscle relaxation is a technique that helps relieve anxiety slowly.. it DOES help. Do it before bed.

Sounds like everything is changing in your life and not how you want it to. I think starting here with asking questions is an awesome step. I suggest writing down what you love to do but haven’t been. Money’s tough right now but you’ll hop back on top. Just keep it up... you got this

Sounds like you’re stretching yourself thin. Struggling to support yourself on top of supporting another person can do that to you so I feel ya. getting enough sleep and taking time for yourself when you can will go a long way in helping to keep you from “falling apart”. meditation, yoga, reading, drawing, or just taking a nap when you can could help.

I normally love to be myself but what scares me is I’m afraid to be alone. Lol I feel really screwed up. I’ve been here before and I’ve gotten through it but at the same time trying to tell someone with anxiety that is like

Impossible

I think when a lot of people say they are afraid of being alone they mean they don’t like be left alone with their thoughts or are afraid of feeling lonely which is different from being alone. i don’t know if that applies to you but if you’re doing something you like, it’s easier to be alone. the only people who ‘get’ anxiety is those who have it too so i feel ya.

You have A LOT on your plate! To help you get through this time I really recommend self-care, which is whatever positive/neutral thing or action helps you to feel better.

Research has shown that exercise can really help, as can being out in nature and deep breathing, CBT/therapy, and meditation/affirmations (check out YouTube and google “rewiring your brain”). Some find writing to help or making art/music. Some take supplements/vitamins.

Is there any way your mom can get a job - any job - to help out with finances and relieve some of the money pressure?
