How did you overcome the split second dizzy spells?

I had anxiety when I was a teenager, but never had this particular symptom before.

So basically when I stand too long, I feel like my hear skips a bit and my blood pressure suddenly drops. It all turns into split second dizzy spell.

Did anyone experience it? It is that a heart problem?

HI

I HAVE THIS and I HATE it when it happens. IT REALLY gets my attention.

However the " up-side" to it, is that it is split second........and goes away.

The skipped heart beats, have plagued me for YEARS, and fortunately I have been told by every doctor that it's an " out of round" kind of normal for many people.

OK. that helped. :(

actually when you have a bit of anxiety after that thud heart beat and the quick spin, your BP goes UP not down.

I had once traveled in a large musical group and we had to stand perfectly still as back ground singers and dancers for many numbers in the show, and there are some things we were taught to do so as NOT to hit the deck during a performance.

1. stand with your knees bent ( never lock your knees)

2. squeeze your butt muscles,( with your butt) on and off, on and off ( they are a major muscle group that moves a lot of blood through the body so keep the blood moving)

3. learn how to take deep belly breaths ( there is an extreme athlete WIM HOF, watch his breathing videos)

4. wiggle your feet and squeeze your butt and squeez your fists.......( you aren't going anywhere if you do this)

and last but not least

accept the creepy symptoms ( for now)

I thought I got used to these dizzy spells, but they are just horrible.

My heart skips a bit, in my head something switches and I have a feeling like I'm gonna collapse.

When this happens close your eyes for few seconds and re open to give your inner ear time to re adjust. Hope that helps.
