Just wondering how palpitations feel for everyone. It's weird because when your researching palpitations, pvc, and afib all sound the same. I get this chest drop feeling and sometimes it will knock the wind out of me for a second. Anyone else have similar symptoms?

What palpitations feel like
I don't get a 'chest drop' - I get flutters or a rolling sensation. I've found that taking a deep breath stops it in its tracks. Have you seen a doctor about it? (I have and they say my heart is healthy. Of course, I've had to hear it about a hundred times.)
I have a cardiologist and I had an echo and stress test in Nov 2017 and they said that everything was normal. I am currently on a beta blocker but that is to slow my heart rate
If you need to get checked again for peace of mind, don't be shy about it!
Yeah I will definitely ask them to do it again. They said that I needed an echo every two years because I had trace back flow but they said that was normal too. They just want to monitor to make sure that it doesn't become a problem
I was having palpitations about 5 years ago, it's like something drops up by your throat and then your heart skips around. I went to the emergency room and they had to give me Ativan for 5 days until I could see a cardiologist. They could hear the palpitations with the stethoscope. Have you been seen by a doctor? This would be the first step. They can give you something to make you feel more comfortable. Palpitations can take the breath out of you and it is so uncomfortable. Good luck.
Yeah I saw my cardiologist and he said that it was pvc and normal had a stress and echo in Nov 2017 and he said that everythi g was normal. I have an appointment with my cardiologist on tuesday. I heard that magnesium supplements help but I haven't tried them
What did your cardiologist prescribe you
My cardiologist prescribed me some kind of hormone pill. I will be praying for your appointment. I know these things just come out of know where and knock the breath out of you. I will be praying that the Doctor can get to the bottom of your palpitations.
Ok thanks for the info
Have you used Horton monitor?
I had and still have occasional thumps and minor pain
Reported them while on monitor
Was told they were not critical, basically PVCs
so as long as the bumps are not substantially different
I figure I'm ok
I will probably do Horton again one of these days
just to check again
All the time honey
Ha ha. Dr Gupta is the best. He’s really good at explaining things and he’s very knowledgeable. Try telling me that on a palpitation day though. 😂
