Really.. how do you deal with it or do you just get on with it ? They are very scary and although if had it before it doesn't stop the mind racing .. they are very annoying too because I'm so aware of them I'm actually getting annoyed with myself over it today

I'm like you.i get scared and panic and rush about.stupid because that makes it worse.

I get a big thud or flop sometimes with a rush/surge to my head and a tingly feeling on my scalp.its hard to stay calm when you feel such horrible sensations x

That's crazy that happens to me too :o as bad as it sounds it's nice to no I'm not the only one feeling it... it almost settles the panic a bit to no that I'm not alone on this.. I also get a big thud if I have a pain like if I have a headache and I stand up and my heart Thuds it also Thuds in my head at the same time... or any kind of dull pain like it ... are minds and body's can be scary xx

It's so scary.when I'm in the grip of a bad episode of anxiety(by episode I mean ones that can last for months or even years) I feel almost alien.like every movement is a symptom.because we are so over sensitized we feel every little thing and it's ten times worse for us.

At the moment I cannot shake 24/7 lightheadedness and it's almost become a habit.its horrible.

How long have you had an anxiety disorder? X

Omg It doesn't bare thinking about :( the longest episode iv had is the one I'm going trough now it started about 2 weeks ago and it just won't go away... I'm convinced I'm really ill and I'm trying so hard to be normal for the kids... but my partner can see my mind is elsewhere... and it is :( it stared 4 years ago while I was pregnant with my daughter... i didn't no what it was at the time and tbh I didn't no much about it and I would only get an episode once evry couple of months... as time went on I got worse and the panic attacks got more frequent .. I was diagnosed with severe health anxiety a year ago... and in the year since I found out what it was has been the worst so far .. i have been to the doctor and the hospital more times then I can remember...it horrible.. what about you? Xx

Omg thats exactly like me!i had anxiety from the age of about 4 but the severe physical symptoms started after i had my daughter 6 years ago.Currently this really episode has lasted 6 months and it is hell.but I've had palpitations for 11 years.but since having her it's been everyday.

So do you have panic attacks?I don't, mine is just constant 24/7 crap.

It's so hard when you have children isn't it.you have to try even when you feel so ill xx

Yeah I get panic attacks when I start to think there something serious wrong like heart attack or a tumour and I read about them (yes Google is the devil) and I'm thinking I have 9 out of the 10 main symptoms ... I no it sounds so stupid and I tell myself that but I'm just so worried that I'm going to get seriously ill or die that my mind runs away with me... My doctor wants me to start medication ..well to try it for 6 months at least to see how I get on as well as therapy ... Do you take medication for it ? I'm afraid to take anything in case I start to think I'm getting all the side effects and go into a state of panic :(

Yes it's hard with the kids ... I do a good job at hiding it well with them .. I don't want them ending up like this .. I feel like I'm just existing and not living and I'm such a happy fun person usually this is really ruining me :( xx

Hi hun,

I don't take medication for it no.i have been told too but I really don't want to.

I have so many physical symptoms that I don't want to make it worse with side effects etc.

how have you been the last couple of days?

Anxiety is the worst and until someone has suffered with it they cannot understand x

Hi Snapper, my palpitations worried me. My Dr has done an X-ray, ECG and blood test and all normal, as was the 2 week monitor. The palpitations are much rarer now (a year on), but I am reassured that I am well...and they are nothing to worry about. Hope that helps xx

Hi. The flutters are a normal occurrence with anxiety. I have minimized mines by cutting down on sugar and all kinds of caffeine. I don't even eat chocolate or anything with chocolate in it, no soda, no coffee and i drink only decaf tea. Caffeine can have a negative effect on your anxiety aND alcohol as well, I also cut out greasy foods, specially in the late hours of the day. I also find that for some reason when I lay on my side I get flutters, weird but it happens . It takes some adjustments but it's worth it.

Yeah I have them in fact 48,000 of them a day! It’s annoying it pisses me off.. but I guess it’s my heart rhythm. Just thousands and thousands of them a day! I see a cardiologist who said reduce stress and caffeine but even when I’m in a deep sleep 3-5am every other beat is a ectopic, I guess need to live with them and pray hard to god it doesn’t cause any damage. Your definitely not alone x

I have them and Its been so long, maybe like 6 years now. It does still bother me but not as much because I know that it’s not going to kill me and it’s just a side effect of my anxiety. I think if you keep telling yourself it’s just another side effect it’s helps and just try and move forward. I use to focus on them a lot because it kind of hits you out of no where and now I am aware of them when they happen but I basically try and ignore them and continue whatever I was doing. It does take practice and I think eventually you will be able to deal with them better. Good luck, it’s not an easy journey but just know you are not alone and you can get better.

Palpitations are very common with anxiety. Palpitations are also very common with people that don’t have anxiety from to much coffee or other foods, or just because. When you get them just cough and they will go away.

Guys, I've been suffering from anxiety since childhood and life has been hell. It's crazy when you can't enjoy social gatherings like others. I mean, I feel so uneasy when in a crowd. It affects my mood a lot; sometimes, I'll just feel sad for no reason. I mean, it's a hell. Palpitations... I get that too. I get it sometimes at night or in a line to get something. I mean basically, I hate standing in line 'cause my heart start to race. In an attempt to overcome this, I've adopted OMAD which is basically eating one meal a day and it has helped to some extent. I also use to experience locked throat too which is horrible. It has affected my love life cause I can't get a girl to date despite my good looks ☺ I don't really know however I believe I'll overcome this shit. Thanks all... and good luck.
