About zopiclone I am addictive and been on them for 18 years need help
So sorry you are having additional anxiety by having to cut down on your medicine, can your GP give you something else to take to help as your brain adjust to decreasing your current medication
Hi
It sounds as if you're having a really bad time and I do feel for you. I agree with Kat that you should ask your GP if their is a medication you can take to support you weaning off zopiclone.
You are doing really well to stick completely to the doses you are given while you cut down and you will get there in the end.
Start to take little steps to get yourself out of the house. You should do this no matter how it makes you feel at first. As you do a little more each day you can tell yourself you are on the road to recovery.
My very best wishes
Kim
I spoke to a Man in accident and emergency who was addicted to zopiclone, he told me genus under a specialist in London because if he stops taking them he will have seizures. His anxiety was so bad that he used to call ambulances every day. I don't even know what to say because I can't understand how someone can function on them in the day, how did you even get that many to be able to take them in the day ? Surely that's a bad decision by a doctor to do this ?
Your GP isn't qualified to wean you off them, you need to be referred to a specialist, this man told me that there is only one specialist in the UK and he is based in London, I'm horrified that a GP wouldn't even you that many zopiclone and your GP should known that they aren't qualified to wean you off them. You need to go and speak to a solicitor, because you need a specialist, if I hadn't spoken to a man in accident and emergency I wouldn't have known this, what I don't get is, I can't get a week's worth, when I'm desperate, yet there are docs giving people outrageously dangerous amounts of them. This is where the problem lies, not patients becoming addicted, it's doctors giving them out like their sweets. Seek legal advice and get yourself under a specialist.
My doctor gave me zopiclone the other day but the lowest dose. I took one that night and slept, last night I was still awake at 1am and worried as I couldn’t sleep so took just over a half and it didnt work so now I’m feeling dreadful. Body’s shattered brain won’t relax. All I’m doing is worrying over it all.
Sorry you’ve been having more anxiety as well. It’s bad enough in the day time not the night as well.
I’ve only had 1 and then a half of 1 since Friday, I don’t know if I can take 1 every night?
Hi

Oh dear. I was finally diagnosed with a sleep disorder, and take one a night, If I don.t have one I am up all night pacing the floor. Your doctor is trying to get your dose down, and you might find other meds help relax you when you cut down on the sleeping tablet. Are you finding it is your anxiety that the tablets aren't working any more. You have to cut the dose slowly before you can have your prescription revised. You can feel liverish so drinking plenty of water may help. Temezepam helps some, but sure when you have managed to cut down, you will feel better. Finding out what is causing all your problems might help. Dietary factors and alcohol especially even in small quantities can make you feel awful mixed with certain tablets even antibiotics, If you look your meds up on drugs. com you can find an alphabetical list of all the drugs and interactions with foods, and other meds. Each drug may have different side effects for each person. Hope you feel better soon.
