I am new here and I am looking for some help or guidance / some advice, any advice!?! I am suffering so badly with anxiety. My anxiety is bought on by many things, I lose track about what triggers it off!! I want to know and would like anyone to come back to me and confirm if anyone gets anxiety that bad they just cant stop thinking about it?!?!?!? Every day all I think about is my anxiety and what how bad my day is going to be. As soon as I get out of bed, boooom anxiety hits me. Its got to the point now I don’t even realize I am doing it. I am constantly getting very horrible chest pain, my heart wont stop racing, I get so angry and agitated by everything and anything, I just want everyone to leave me alone or I will say and do something I may regret. I am so angry, this is my anxiety. When I get angry, my whole body hurts with pains, shaking, and breathing funny. Any advice...

I am starting treatment tomrrow, going to start getting some coaching. one of my parents is helping me and reco i give coaching a go.

Hi Kris I am going through similar anxiety as yourself and have been for 7yrs untill i decided that this could not go on, my life was passing me by, but its only in the last year my anxiety was triggered by almost anything, i know that horrible feeling when it kicks off as soon as you awake in the morning and goes on all day, i am on meds now and my G.P. is great she gave me a cd on how to control my breathing which i have to repeat twice a day its all helping, no more morning anxiety, i do have more good days than bad now. Glad you came on to this site, i have had a lot of help and so will you, keep in touch with everyone, when it gets to much theres always someone here to help you with good advice, there are a lot of lovely people on this site they will become your friends. Take care San x

Hi Kris

I am the same as you I cant get it out of my mind, they say diverting your mind is good but I have trouble doing this as I cant seem to concentrate on anything for long, body is always having ago at me. And all day long, The only time I get away from it is when go to bed I sleep for 8hrs through. Coaching sounds good I have not heard of that. lets me no how you go and what its all about. good luck you will get there as we all will.

I have started coaching for my anxiety and working with somone called Carl Sheppard.

I am now having one 2 one coaching with carl and i have to say it has been amazing. ive had 2 sessions so far Saturday and today and i feel so much better. carl has somehow made me re think the way i have been for the last 8 years or so and i feel so much better. i cant really put it into words, but i am so happy. i didnt think i would feel like this. I just wanted to let everyone know i have survived coaching and i am very impressed and as stated previously, if you believe you can be happy you will be!!! thanks to everyone who has supported me on her, means alot. Hi kris I was like that with my anxiety last yr, from morning till night was anxiety on my mind. I sat in the doctors and he asked how I felt but at the time I cudnt explain other then saying I think I'm going crazy whilst sobbing in there. He put me on anti des and after a while I was having the odd good days. I cudnt concentrate on anything even watching tv or reading a book. Wen I started having good days I started reading a book on anxiety called at last a life. It actually help me in learning to train my mind into a more positive way and understand more about anxiety. I still get my bad days but the good ones are more. I still have it on my mind as well from time to time. Wish u the best in getting back to u xxx

Hi nienie, Africa!?!? I understand the logic of what you are saying, but surely you understand this site is for advise not for aiding feelings of guilt which as anxiety sufferers we all have.

Best wishes

Nic

Hi, kris I am exactly like this I've had cbt twice which is helping but I've found mindfulness and meditation to be most beneficial it allowed me to slow down the racing thoughts and to understand my anxiety a little better.

Best wishes

Nic

I'm sorry nienie but I'm a very empathetic person and it absolutely destroys me that I feel this way when there are so many more suffering, its one of the many reasons I hate myself. I have suffered for years with gad OCD and severe depression.....twenty to be exact and I'm only 33 so I'm sorry if I offend but personally i find this comment to not be in the spirit of the site of course we would find better perspective seeing real suffering but most of us can't even make it out of our front door because we too are suffering with something that seems just as real. Again I'm sorry if I offend this is not my intention

My apologise kris for hijacking your post

Best wishes

Nic

You didn't offend me ,just I am that sort of person who talk what I think seldom think of others ,but I don't think it is selfish ,frankly speaking I don't deny someone really suffer depression ,however,I think most of folks are screaming without disease, something in fact we can control ourselves just see if you really want to slove the problems we can't always expect others ,medic ,consult and so on ,I think the most critical is yourself ,I think like depression ,relationship that stuff more depends on ourselves,by the way i think depression has got nothing to do with age ,when I was very young I know what does death mean .I think you can get the point .

Nichole

in reply toNienie

No nienie I don't get your point, and I'm afraid you don't get mine either. I know age has nothing to do with depression. I was merely pointing out that I, as have many others, suffered for a long time and sometimes when this happens its hard to see anything else. I think if people have joined this site they have done so out of desperation for issues that are real to them! for advise and comfort to not feel alone that is the nature of the site not to feel judged and like we don't matter because others are suffering.

Best wishes

Nic

Hi Kris,

I am new to this site too, it's a bit scary starting off isn't it? I have similar symptoms to you- I know how horrible it is to wake up in the morning and have the trail of anxious, negative thoughts begin and not end until you go to sleep. It makes me feel so sad to think that I'm spending my days worrying about nothing, especially when other people start to notice it (something that makes me feel so guilty). Like you, I'm waiting to see a therapist soon which I think is a really good first step to changing the way that I think and improving my thoughts.

I read something off the Mind website recently which I found really helpful- the vicious cycle of being anxious or experiencing low self-esteem might seem unbreakable, but it is crucial to remember that these are beliefs, not facts, and they can be changed. You probably weren't always like this, right? I know that I've always been a worrier, but until now I always managed it fine and was a happy person. It's just that it's now gotten to the point where I've recognized that I need help, and I believe that I can go back to being that happy person who went about life with ease. And I'm sure so can you :)

Good luck x

Hey Alicia, thanks for the message, MIND is very good, i always take a look now and then to see what they are up too! Very good quote and very true. Its so important to be able to look at yourself and work out why you are feeling like this and start telling yourself 'i can change'.

When i started with my original question (which seems to have had quite a few responses) i mentioned about starting coaching for my anxiety. i am now working with somone called Carl Sheppard. he coaches people on how to rebalance anxiety.my dad found him for me. my dad is the only one i have spoken to about my anxiety and he saw carl shappards details and contacted him.

I am now having one 2 one coaching with carl and its been amazing. ive had 2 sessions so far and i feel so much better. carl has somehow made me re think the way i have been for the last 8 years or so and i feel so much better. i cant really put it into words, but i am so happy. i didnt think i would feel like this. your right, it is not impossible to feel happy again! xxx

That's so so lovely to hear that, I'm so happy for you!! :D it's great that you're feeling tons better already and you've only had two sessions. That gives me more hope about starting to see my therapist (it's a week today), and if it's going to help me at all. I think my worst fear is letting it get worse, even with help, rather than better. But I'm determined not to let that happen. Congrats anyway, good for you :) xxx

Kris, I have only just found out that I have high anxiety from my GP. My GP has said this is what is causing my heart palpitations. My GP recommended I try counselling as I may have some underlying reason why I have anxiety. I’m not sure what to do. I will take a look at anxiety coaching as well. As you say, I may need to ‘rebalance anxiety’ to stop my heart BP rising. I’m very new to all of this and I just know I want my heart to stop racing.

Hi Hannah & Alicia, this forum is so refreshing. reading everyones comments on here is amazing. i keep saying that, but it is amazing. its so nice to hear people are trying to help their anxiety by talking rather than masking with pills. I appreciate some people want to try medication, but i feel commication is much better!

Yes your right, its like many of us need to Rebalance Anxiety. Sounds refreshing actually! Please let us all stay intouch and confirm how coaching / counselling is going. please check out carl sheppards website. i think its awesome. take care guys and stay positive.XXXXX
