I don't even know if this is anxiety anymore...

I've been in bed all day, not wanting to do nothing because I don't see the point on doing so. I mean I overthink about everything, including my very existence. I just don't feel the same, I've been emotional.. everything just doesn't feel the same, I'm not like myself and worry I'll never be. I just worry I'll never enjoy or see life as I once did..I just don't know what to do anymore everything feels different...I feel different...

I totally understand how you feel. Whenever my anxiety gets this way I become depressed and I have said the same things. I have constantly cried because I would feel like I'll never be able experience a peace of mind or accomplish anything I wanted for my life. And then I would feel like what point is it to pursue anything or expect anything to happen for me if I wont live see it happen. It's a vicious cycle of negative pessimism from me. Constantly saying that something seems wrong or something is happening. You are not alone. I'd like to share my new broadcast endeavor with you. It discusses what anxiety does to us and discuss the fear of what we cant control. Just another platform for people like me to communicate and so you can see my face as I talk about my worries and fears.

🤗🤗🤗 I am so glad that it could help in some way. Thank you so much for watching. Watch it as many times if that helps. When I have my very rough times with anxiety and my fears I would always tune in to certain broadcasts that was spiritual that got me through. I would fall asleep listening to it. It was a big help. I wish you the best 😊

My therapist likes to say that anxiety and depression are like evil stepsisters. More often than not, they go together hand in hand. Do you have a school counselor you can speak with? I think I remember seeing a previous post that you were a teenager, so I assume you're still in high school. A counselor or even a trusted teacher or other adult can really help to talk to. You can also make an appointment with your doctor. I hope you're able to receive the help you need and feel better soon.

Hey Lily!

You are going through something that’s actually quite common and how you feel is normal for the circumstances.

First step- see your doctor. On occasion (rare occasion in teens) anxiety is secondary to something else. The doc can do some simple tests to confirm this is primary anxiety. Once that is established, the next step is therapy and for some people, a medication.

Check out Dr. Weekes’ first video on my profile. She describes in detail how this is a very logical and easy-to-understand pattern that you are experiencing. There’s no mystery here.

First step- doc visit and tell him/her everything so they can quickly get you through to the right next steps (usually therapy, or group therapy for teens or both- all can be fantastic) 😀
