Mirtazapine side effects
hi when did you start taking them.
Hi. I started last year in August and these symptoms begun on November. Told to my doctor and she said is not mirtazapine fault and might be anxiety. I'm so confused as is something that I never felt before. Thanks for your reply .
no worries ive been on them for years.only reaction I get is spasms but even then the doctor doubted it was the tablets.
Thank you kenster1. Do you think its could be a side effect or anything else not related with the tablets? I noticed one of the side effect is muscles pain and joint pain. Have you heard anything about this?
well I get pain in fingers shoulders upper arms I do have bach and hip pains but unrelated.in august I was off work on holiday for three days one night I woke up in complete agony like I had broken my left arm and the right was painful as well.even now my upper body is really stiff but I don't know whats causing it.
Is mirtazapine good for you? I felt that my depression came back to me with all of these symptoms.
in the beginning they worked wonders but I tried coming off them for various reasons didn't work out and ended up back on them.vicious circle going to come off them again soon.
Have you experienced withdrawal ?My doctor told me it doesn't cause any addiction but i doubt. I want to quit and i don't know what to expect.
I couldn't sleep reducing the dose then went a week cold turkey it was terrible.
It wasn't good for me, it turned me into a zombie. I literally couldn't handle it at all
Hi I've been using Mirtazapine for several months, so far No problems. Everyones different, talk to your doctor, maybe change your medication?
I will. Thanks for your reply. First time i was happy with the pills as they helped me to gain kilos that i lost it before and helped me to sleep very well but i don't know what happened after, my anxiety came back and aches in my body. I'm just worried not to be anything else. 🙁
The same kind of with me, I gained weight I had lost because of my anxiety, though sleeping is still a problem. And also ask your doctor about withdrawal issues that someone else had said happened to them? Let me know, I was off my medication for awhile because I couldn't get hold of the doctor to renew my prescription, I didn't have any withdrawal issues.
Lucky you! Seem mirtazapine is excelent for you.I will ask but i don 't know if she will tell me the truth . She told me it doesn't give no addiction.
I can't remember, possibly a month or so, I just couldn't do anything on it at all
Which were your symptoms?
Fuzzy brain, impossible to think, completely spaced out and non functional.
I have been taking Mirt for about 2 years now, I was initially prescribed 30 mg, but found that I was like a zombie on that dose, I reduced to 15 mg & am now taking 7.50mg which I am fine with, the lower dose taken at night definately helps me to sleep, but without the zombie effect during the day. I won't say it completely helps my anxiety as I do still have bad days. Other than that I am happy taking Mirt for the foreseeable future until I feel I'm in a position to come off them x
It's perfect that you feel good with mirt. I was happy with it untill Nov when my muscle were started to feel weak and sometimes a burn sensation.
My 84 year old mom got weak and tired all day w Mirtazapine at 22.5 and 30 mg doses...after the raise from 15-30 is when I saw it, along w swollen ankles. We went back to 15, ankles and energy better but panic attacks prompted doc to go back up to 22.5.... weak and confused. Zombie like between clarity. Docs say it's not the drug but I watched it happen.
