Clogged artery???? 🤔

Hello everyone 🙂 would a EKG be able to tell if you had a partially clogged artery? I’m only 25, but I have smoked before in the past( I quit early 2017) and in 2017 ate pretty badly, my habits have changed for sure since then. I’ve had two ekg’s and CBC blood panel and they’ve said that’s all checked out.

I’m trying so hard to trust the 2 EKG’s and blood but I feel like I need more reassurance, how can I ask for a stress test if I’m a low risked 25 year old with nothing wrong but panic disorder and cardiophobia????

If an EKG isn’t enough, what other tests can be done to check for that besides getting an X-ray ? Will a great stress test for sure rule artery blockage out ? Combined with the good blood work and two EKGS? thank you 🥰

Hi Diamond!! I can appreciate your question because I live with health anxiety too. The honest answer is that there aren’t enough tests in the world to reassure you. No matter how many times someone tells you you are fine, it will only allow the worry to stop for a short time. The thoughts willl return. In fact, seeking reassurance is only keeping you in the health anxiety loop. The answer is the same as most others forms of anxiety....therapy, medication, working on your thoughts. Hang in there, health anxiety is difficult!!
