Still worrying

I have been on here once talking about my anxiety after going to the ER. I said that I was going to have a nuclear stress test. I had it done almost three weeks ago. I just wanted to let everyone know that it came back normal but I’m still worrying about my heart. I feel like I’m going crazy. Doctors have told me I’m ok and my heart is good. I’m going to talk to someone Friday. Hopefully they can help me.

Glad your test results were ok! Hope you get some relief and I hope the doctor is able to help you. I suffer from thinking something is wrong with me all the time too so I know that anxiety is hard to deal with.

Thank you. I know how it feels. I have felt this way for over two months.

Nuclear stress test is the gold standard for noninvasive cardiovascular studies. If the test came back with the results you described, YOU ARE FINE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Celebrate the good results and treat it like a new lease on life. Doubting the test results and suffering anxiety as you are is foolish and not logical. CELEBRATE and feel good about the results. Don't let health anxiety ruin your days.....no need for needless suffering resulting from worrying about something that is not an issue!!!! Be well!!!!!!!

Thank you. You are not the first person who has told me that.

Hi Tngirlvol1, then you might want to add me to your list of supporters.

As ChicagoGirl stated, don't allow health anxiety to take over your rational

thinking. All we worry about comes from lies that our minds try to make us

believe. It does nothing but make us miserable and ruin our lives.

Once we are given an all normal test results, it is up to us to believe and

trust in our doctors and modern medicine.

Nothing changed in 3 months. Your anxious mind is trying to convince you

differently. Rather than putting yourself through these expensive tests, it

might be better to get a therapist who can help you with health anxiety. It's

a real mental thing that is not physically caused. xx

Can anxiety cause heartburn. I have been experiencing heartburn and it causes me to worry about my heart. Thank you for your reply.

Anxiety can cause heartburn because stress causes more acidity in the stomach.

Add that to what we eat or drink and it can give you discomfort

It is not coming from your heart. xx

I am taking buspar 15mg twice a day and taking Clonidine .1 mg at bedtime but I’m going up to . 2mg tonight.

If that is what your doctor told you to do (increase Clonidine) by all means follow

his orders. He knows your health history and knows what is best for you to take. xx
