Has anyone tried something other than a SSRI that helped ? Such as a ssni or whatever it’s called

Effexor is an ssni that many people have success with but it has side effects similar to many of the ssri meds. Remeron is similar to an ssni but not the same, and side fx are minimal compared to most antidepressants. Remeron is good also if you have problems with insomnia because many people find it sedatiing in addition to it's antidepressant properties.

Effexor for me was a great drug..Its an SNRI. First pill and I could feel it working. Works on serotonin and norepinephrine. Amazing for reducing anxiety and helps greatly with focus. Side effects minimal...a bit of strange dreams. Only side effect made me stop was increase in blood pressure but I am in my 40s with hbp history in family. Give that drug a try if you can. Not new but still good :)

I have tried several ssri's . They helped a little. I am now on Pristiq which is an snri and don't feel much different than I did on the ssri's . Maybe heads a little less foggy, and it helps reduce the panic attacks
