Does anyone else get general weak feeling in arms and legs with anxiety? It makes me feel so fragile and limp and i find it so hard to get my house work done its like everything i do is a chore. My eyes are still so off as if things are blurred along with the twitching tingling in my legs with the off balance feelings. Im sick of feeling terrible now.

Body weakness
I’ve had twitching in arms and legs for two months since hearing some bad health news about my dad. The last 1-2 weeks they’ve felt weaker in the upper arms/thighs. I keep worrying whether I have what dad has and my partner keeps saying no, it’s just the stress and not to worry.
Do you find the more you focus on it the more you notice it? It’s like you can’t help but focus on it!
I feel like some days theyre near enough non existant then others its all in full effect regardless of if im thinking about them or not it really frustrates me i hope it is anxiety
In find when I first wake and my body is relaxed, they’re not as bad. Also on days where I don’t feel as anxious, so I’m hoping it’s just stress.
Have u been to a ENT? Have u told to your family doctor? And psychiatrist? And if the doctors can’t help you go see a Neurologist to get check out
Yes ive been to see an ENT and audiologist doctor my ears are fine and my balance system appears fine.. ive had an MRI scan on my ear and a seperate one on my whole head. Ive also had a CT scan on me head all came back fine and my bloods came back fine. But i still beg to differ when the doctor puts it down to anxiety.
Heck. I KNOW Just What You're Talking About. You Are NOT Alone. Seems Like The One Thing Every Med I Have In Common ? Are THESE Side Effects. But ? I Am Going To See A Neurologist Though....You Should Too
Prayers~*
I have had it for the past 3-4 years, lately i have been feeling limp all of a sudden my body goes limp like i need sugar in my body and muscles go really stiff. Balance and heart palpitation is my main issue.
Anxiety can cause muscle tension anywhere in the body. When muscles are tight for a long time they can weaken. I have weakness in my legs from muscle tension. You could try a muscle relaxant and see if that helps. Also regular exercise is important. When I first started using my treadmill I could only last 5 minutes. Now a month later I’m up to 20 minutes. And the truth is if you can get your anxiety under control your muscles will begin to relax and the weakness should go away.
Ive had the same thing. My leg muscles actually seized up just over 2 months ago along with constant off balance feeling like I was sinking into the ground when walking or like the ground was moving up and down with every step. I had bloods, neurological exam, CT scan also. I had to try and convince myself it was stress/anxiety due to starting my own business at the beginning of this year although I didnt feel stressed at this moment in time I have felt stressed a lot at times over the past year. I think now it had all built up and hit me hard all at once just out of the blue. I took time off, relaxed with EPSOM salts in my bath twice a day to see if it would help relax my leg muscles. I literally couldnt lift my legs or control them they were so weak and heavy and also jittery when trying to walk like i was tripping over things. I had constant brain fog like no matter how much i slept everything was still hazy like i couldnt wake up properly, was having night hallucinations like waking up seeing spiders or weird things running across the room that werent actually there. It took about 3-4 weeks of practising my breathing, doing night time meditations, relaxing in the salts, a few counselling sessions so far, not working as much... for my physical symptoms to subside. You will be surprised at how much calming yourself mentally can help with your physical symptoms. My back pain isnt as bad now either. I started to notice when I was walking I tense up a lot - my back, my shoulders, my legs, so now when i notice i try and relax them more while walking. When I was researching my symptoms I came across a few things thats reassured me it was anxiety.. anxiety centre is really good.

Hope you feel better soon xx
Hi just came across your post- I’ve experienced some of this sorry to here you are☺️😟I do find that making sure I’m getting proper balance of nutrients helps though seems I have auto immune issues- digestive issues and gluten, corn sensitivities so if I stay away from these I do much better also I need minerals especially magnesium powder helps relax muscles and tension, and a very good quality b complex that is activated b complex!! Maybe look into this you may be nutritionally deficient?? I don’t know if your vegan or vegetarian but sometimes it’s challenging to get enough nutrients, amino acids and all to really function optimally and feel our best!! This can definitely affect mood and brain health! Just some thoughts hope you find what helps you!!!!🤗🌸🌼🌻
I know this was a while ago but have only just seen it because I typed in weakness. I can relate to all that, especially the fragile and limp feeling and getting things done. I hope you are feeling better now
