Yes I could have posted that!! I'm not sure what to do about it but everyday is a new chance to try again!!
Hi dawners,
I know the feelings you are describing. So sorry you are struggling. I read a little of your previous posts and it seems to me you've had a very thorough workup by your doc(s), are in therapy (that is great) and are on meds.
A couple of thoughts- is your therapist helping? Sometimes a switch is indicated. The therapist is ideally someone you really connect with, trust, and who is knowledgeable and experienced in several therapeutic modalities. The therapist must really know Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as one of those modalities, and ideally, REALLY understand anxiety and all of its manifestations as well.
Have you read/listened to Dr. Claire Weekes? I have some of my favorite Dr. Weekes resources listed on my profile. I have other resources there as well, and they all support her approach, just present it in slightly different ways. Dr. Weekes calls the feeling of detachment "feelings of unreality". Give a listen/read.
It is my strong opinion that absolutely no one is stuck in this place that you are in. Anyone can recover. I believe this with all my heart.
