You have to tell yourself that your current life doesn’t have to be forever. If you do the right work and get the right help you not only can get better but you WILL get better. Just take one day at a time. Don’t set a timeline because everyone recovers at a different rate. Just know that if you keep working you will get better in time.

Force of will and determination. Realize there's more to life than this shit and find something to live for. Surround yourself with supportive people and it makes things easier as well.

Julie, the quote you posted above IS THE ANSWER. That IS how you accept this life.

At some level we created the life we are living exactly as it is today. Our thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, got us here.

SO it is OK to accept [what is].

You accept it FOR NOW.

FOR this moment.
