I’m really struggling

I’m finding it very difficult at the moment, I received a form to fill in regarding a reassessment of my benefit (esa) since receiving the form, I’ve been a mess, I’ve started self harming again by burning my arms with cigarettes, drinking and this over whelming sense of doom is killing me. I was trying to move on, make positive changes but I feel like lve let myself down.

I’m trying not to think too much, but I can’t stop the fear, the shakes and I just honestly have had enough, Sometimes I feel like I want to die and be free of all this pain.

I need advice, I need help.

Can you ask the citizens advice bureau to help you fill in the forms? Speak to your doctor, they can supply written documents to give to the DWP to support your case.

I’m scared to speak to my doctor, once they see my self harm scars, they might want to section me

Have you watched any Douglas Bloch videos? He has had severe depressive episodes and been hospitalized a few times. Sometimes hospitalization is the time out you need to get back into a healthy mindset. There is new advancements in depression treatment that include electric brain stimulation that Douglas used and said worked for him after all antidepressants failed.

I am sure that your doctor will help you. If you cannot get a appointment today, then contact your community mental health team. If they are unavailable, try Googling "support for people in ..... your area.... with mental health problems". You should find both statutory and voluntary organisations to contact. Insist on seeing someone, not merely a telephone conversation. Be strong. Things will get better.

Hey, I'm really sorry to hear that it's affected you in this way, I don't self-harm but I know how it feels to get these forms and for your brain to work overtime, I'm currently going through the same myself and it's making me feel pretty ill and it's affecting not only my mental health problems but my fibromyalgia also.

I am still waiting for a home assessment for ESA and I've just gotten a PIP review form, for the ESA50 I asked Fightback to help me but I did pay £45 and for the PIP form I have asked Welfare Rights for help who I will be seeing next month.

I personally believe that the system should be changed and that they shouldn't constantly badger people to fill out forms etc.

Please try and contact an advice centre, Welfare Rights, CAB or anyone else that might support and help you with the form. Also if you are struggling mentally you might be able to contact the Samaritans who also have an email address you can contact them on. I would also try and get an appointment with the GP if you can.
