i get the same. sometimes it feels like it goes into my shoulders or arms. regular massages help.
Yes, also in my upper torso. But I work in care and do a lot of lifting etc. Turns out I’ve Costochondritis. I find a hot and cold therapy like warm wheat bags etc and massage helps x
I get this almost every day. I rub in bengaid. Put on hot rags. Warm showers help as well. The best thing is massages making sure your posture is good and that you have comfortable pillows.
I'm bad for carrying my stress in my neck and jaw. I found the best thing for me is something called yoga nidra, meditation. Plenty of videos on YouTube showing you how it's done and guided meditation, don't be surprised if you fall asleep before you get to the end. It will help your neck !!.
I have had neck tension since my dad passed away. I find the more massages I get, stretches of anything applied to it makes it worse. There is a condition called tension myeositis syndrome where emotional disturbances settle in somewhere in your body. I went on their fb group and read a lot of posts. There is a thought, that the more you pay attention to it, ie massages, rubs, will make it worse. One lady gave up all her therapeutic measures and it got better. Mri's will show that most people have some type of degeneration going on in the spine and discs, but experience no pain.
Acupuncture did wonders for my neck issues and migraines. Especially when combined with a bit of massage therapy. Part of it turned out to be eye strain from my computer though, the acupuncture worked for that too. Hope you found something that works for you!
