Is having a sensation of having a lump or tightness in your throat/mouth normal with anxiety? And, can you be anxious without being nervous about something

Yes to both of your questions. Anxiety can cause muscle tension anywhere in the body including the neck and throat. It can feel like there's something stuck in your throat or like you can't swallow. When you have anxiety, your body can still produce the symptoms without you feeling anxious at the time they happen. All part of anxiety. We don't like it but we learn to manage.
