I was recently listening to a video , playing some music from like my favorite artist. Well, I turned it off to write a bit, then I kept hearing the song replay in my mind. It was like a broken record. I was yelling “Stop” like a crazy woman , then calmed down , it came back again. So i started singing it and now it’s gone lol. But i want to know any better methods of handling it ? It seems to only be songs replaying in my mind.
If I’m in like a tense situation, I walk away now . I used to bark back lol...but my temper has gotten better, so I don’t think it’s necessary to replay harsh insults or what have you, in my mind. It’s only this annoying broken record thing ..haha.

This happens to me too. It drives me insane but have no idea how to stop it. Mostly happens when I am stressed or anxious and sometimes find myself humming the music quietly without realising. Gets me some funny looks. Wouldn't mind but its usually tunes I don't even like!
This is normal. I have a song in my head morning to night. I've been that way since I was a kid! The song is in the background these days and if it comes to the forefront, I sing it (much to the chagrin of my kids LOL!) Currently I have a song called "Try" in my head - I watched an old American Idol video about a week ago and this was the song. It'll be there for awhile until it gets replaced with a new one. Anxiety can focus on these things sometimes and make them so much more than they need to be. Here's a great article on anxiety and earworms: acoachcalledlife.com/music-...
I list Swamy G in the resources I like so much (they are all on my profile). If you like this article, you can find more by him on his website
