Is this a coincidence

Here is a strange one. Does anyone pick up on things that mention their fear easily?

Example. Yesterday the tv was playing and I didn’t really notice it was on until the British Heart Foundation advert come on.

In songs, I’ll be singing along and I sort of freeze when I hear the word heart, every song seems to have that word in it???

Was driving round the park today looking at everything then managed to spot a tiny sign with a defibrillator on it.

Was just watching a tv programme and noticed twice people mention heart attacks (the programme was not health related)

Not sure if this is trying to tell me something or I’m just obsessed with it??

What do people think?

I think if you are scared of something to do with your heart then you will deffo pick up where u see and hear the word or things to do with it. I find I am the same with my fears I can hear the words more easily even if I’m not actually listening like things on the tv etc!!!

Oh yeh. Just accept the reaction (due to your highly sensitised state) and dont question or read anything into and move on without adding more fear. If you understand that if is just another symptom of anxiety and learn to accept them all, you will recover. Full acceptance, regardless of any state you are in will allow your mind and body to recover. Time takes care of the rest.
