Hey
Hi Kayleeq08. Welcome! What have you done about your anxiety and the attacks you get? Do you see a therapist? Are you on any medication? It sounds like you are in a vicious cycle of fear. Something needs to break that cycle so that you can go forward. xx
I go to a therapist
Reading back on your other post, it seems that you have some deep seated issues
which I'm glad are being addressed by a therapist. Have they ever recommended
medication as well? Sometimes we need some meds just until we make some progress with therapy and find what direction we are going in.
Anxiety itself, can eventually be handled through acceptance of it not being harmful as well as finding tools that will help you lower the frequency of your attacks.
It's the self harm that needs to be taken care of. A psychiatrist is probably a better choice in getting you help.
I am not a counselor but only another member who also has gone through anxiety and it's issues. With my experience, a psychiatrist can address the serious issues along with medication and work along with a therapist.
Anxiety is very wearing on the body especially after 4-5 years. I hope you ask for more help from your therapist if it doesn't seem to be enough right now. You deserve a break from constant fear. We're here to help you through this. Never feel that you are alone. We care xx
